Uruguay at the BIO Latin America Conference
An Uruguayan delegation with representatives from Uruguay XXI, Genia Laboratory and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM) participated at the BIO Latin America Conference held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 9th to 11th.
The event, organized by BIO and Biominas, brought together leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the world, senior executives, academics and investors interested in opportunities offered by the rapidly-growing biotechnology sector in Latin America.
Participants had the chance to discuss new trends, navigate industry challenges, attend company presentations, conduct partnering meetings and learn about investment opportunities within this emerging market.
In this context, Uruguay made a country presentation to show its advantages in Pharma & Health and had meetings with potential stakeholders.
Uruguayan delegation was integrated by the Biotechnology Sector Council Coordinator from MIEM, Carolina da Silva; Health & Pharma Specialist from Uruguay XXI´s Program to Support Global Export Services, Cecilia Pérez; and Genia Laboratory representatives, Jimmy Cuadra and Juan Martín Márquez.
