Uruguay landed at the Outsource2LAC 2014

Uruguay XXI joined for the fourth year in a row the Outsource2LAC 2014, a conference specializes on global export services and identifying business opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean. It was an opportunity for service buyers and suppliers to learn about current trends in the global outsourcing industry and to identify business opportunities.

The conference was held in Guatemala City and organized by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala, the Agency for Investment Promotion "Invest in Guatemala" and the Guatemalan Exporters Association (AGEXPORT), with the support of Tholons and the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

With the attendance of more than 500 regional and international companies, including representatives from large firms in Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and North America, and more than 20 Latin American Trade and Investment Promotion Agencies, it constituted a unique scenario to meet, network and engage with potential clients and trading partners, as well as to listen to some of the most influential professionals from the industry.

Uruguay XXI, through its Global Services Program funded by IDB, represented the country and participated in a speakers panel for presenting the Finishing Schools program, the co-financing training schemes designed specifically for service export companies.

The Uruguayan delegation was attended by important companies as: Bullseye, CommandLine IT Solutions, GoNova, Montevideo Financial Group InMind IT Solutions, INSIGHT, ITSystems, Me Taste It, OneTree Servers South tickers Engineering and Arnaldo C. Castro.

This event has been held since 2011. First, Outsource2LAC was held in Montevideo, Uruguay. In 2012, the event was held in Medellin, Colombia and last year in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Outsource2LAC has been able to gather more than 1800 global services companies from more than 20 Latin American and the Caribbean countries and from the United States, Ireland, Spain, France, Egypt, India and The Philippines attended the forum; more than 2400 business meetings were held, and that businessmen did business for more than US$ 14 million.
